Bird's Nest Standard Book

It is a fully equipped two-bedroom unit with a living room, bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen.
The main bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds. The living area has a single sleeper bed to sleep a fifth person. The outside deck provides lovely views and as this cabin is slightly removed from the hub of the lodge it offers loads of privacy and jungle sounds.

Riverfront Suite Standard Book

Our two River Front Suites are designed to be the ultimate rainforest retreat for couples, families, or friends traveling together. Each suite offers one-of-a-kind views and proximity to the Macal River & Canyon along with a wrap-around patio and rooftop deck. The bedroom (with king bed) overlooks the sunken living room which can sleep two additional adults or children on the built-in sofa (convertible to two twin beds).
An expansive writing desk and a variety of areas to rest and relax allow guests to truly enjoy their downtime at Black Rock. Designed with comfort and relaxation in mind, these new accommodations are a splendid and indulgent experience for Black Rock guests. Please inquire to reserve both Suites together for larger groups traveling together.
The interleading door between the 2 units makes this a perfect choice for large families or friends.
With stairs providing direct access to the river, beach and floating dock ensure hours of fun on the swing rope.
The amazing river views and surrounding high trees are a haven for a vast variety of birds and other wildlife and the majestic cliff views provide great sightings of the raptors that soar above.
The rooftop area is great for stargazing or bird watching.

**PLEASE NOTE: THE RIVERFRONT SUITES' LOCATION ALONG THE RIVERBANK REQUIRES DESCENDING AND ASCENDING MULTIPLE STAIRS AND AN EXTENDED PATH IN ORDER TO ACCESS THE SUITES. THESE SUITES ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR GUESTS WITH MOVEMENT RESTRICTIONS.

Riverfront Deluxe Cabin Standard Book

In these spacious and elegant recently added cabins with slanted roofs, we have stepped it up a notch. Families or romantic couples can really find themselves immersed in the amazing Macal Valley with spectacular views of the river and jungle all around. The cabins may be considered luxurious – with plush comforters, a large walk-in wardrobe area and large en suite shower with separate toilet. The large deck with hammocks and patio set provides a quiet haven to relax with the sound and view of the rushing river below.
It is possible to add an additional single bed to these cabins providing sleeping space for 6 pax sharing.

Please note: The riverfront deluxe cabins location is magnificent but due to quite a lot of stairs they are not recommended to guests with mobility issues.

These spacious cabins are the perfect choice for friends or families and easily sleep 5 pax. The interior is uncluttered and the windows all around provide great breezes and views. The large deck and plenty of seating provide a great space for families or friends to enjoy socializing or playing games while enjoying the great jungle cliff views and watching out for birds.
These cabins mostly have no stairs and are located away from the hustle and bustle of the lodge’s central guest areas.

The two Riverview cabins with a king bed are very suited to honeymooners and these cabins really do have wonderful views of the Macal and are located under trees providing shade and lots of bird activity. Super choice for serious birders.

Our classic cabins offer a cozy, comfortable space for singles or couples with a special touch of history of the lodge as these were the first cabins built at the lodge in the 90’s. Continued upgrades and improvements over the years have made these cabins very popular and their locations ensure great river and /or jungle cliff views from the decks/patios with 2 hammocks. The slate in the interior and exterior walls were sourced from the surrounding area of Black Rock years ago and the original thatch roofs have since been replaced by sheet metal roofs. The classic cabins have no stairs.
A perfect choice for the smaller budget –great comfort in the jungle at a great value.
