Situated just outside Granada in southern Spain, El Amparo is a beautiful Spanish farmhouse B&B in the style of a traditional rural hotel of Andalucia. Terms & Conditions

We look forward to welcoming you to our lovely part of Andalucia, When you make your booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Our Terms and Conditions of booking are as follows:

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

Check in is available from 2.00pm to 7.00pm on the day of arrival, please try and avoid siesta 4pm - 6pm if possible :-).
Check-in times outside of those specified must be confirmed with us prior to arrival.
We ask that you vacate your room by 11.00am on the morning of departure.

RESERVATIONS

Please note our cancellation policy before committing to a reservation.

In order for us to confirm a reservation, credit/debit card details are required to secure your booking. No payment is taken from the card for Flex Rate bookings, however Discounted and Non Refundable rates can be charged any time after the booking date.

If you are unable to secure the booking with a credit/debit card details then we will require cleared funds for the full amount of the stay.

CAR PARKING

A car park is available for guest use. cars are parked at owners risk.

CHANGE OF ROOM

If a booking is taken out for a specific room, and the room reserved is required to meet a specific guest disability needs, or rendered unusable via circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to transfer the booking to an alternative room of similar quality.

IMPORTANT : YOUNG CHILDREN

We have invested in high Quality Mattresses, Mattress Toppers and Linen, if young Children are to sleep in the Beds, you will be offered protective rubber sheets in case of any accidents ! :-) We highly recommend this for your piece of mind, If you decide not to fit the sheet, in case of accidents we subsequently have the topper and Mattress Professionally Steam cleaned and you will be charged €40 +IVA

DAMAGES & BREAKAGES

Please take care of our home. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur, especially if you spill something as its much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly ! We do not normally charge for breakages but reserve the right to charge for repair, making good or replacement if the damage or cost is significant.

EVENING MEALS
We provide dinner Service 6 nights per week, Monday-Saturday. and provide a set three-course menu using locally sourced ingredients for:

Adults & Teenagers €37.50
Children ( 7 - 10 ) €20.00
Kids Meal €10.00

Saturday is always Pizza, Salad and Dessert at €25.

A Vegetarian meal option is always available and please let us know if you have any additional dietary requirements or allergies.

Please note that whilst these are our normal dinner nights, we close the kitchen during local festivals and the day after so all of our staff can enjoy a break!

Please notify us of your intention to dine in at Breakfast and any special dietary requirements.

Pre-ordering with the reservation is required to provide a meal on the day of arrival. As evening meals are purchased and prepared to order, if an order is placed and cancelled after 12 noon on the day of dining, or not taken for any reason, the full cost of the meal will remain payable.

Sunday is our day off and the Salon, Bar area and Kitchen are closed after breakfast.

KEYS

You have access to your room 24 hrs per day throughout your stay using a set of keys provided on arrival. You have responsibility for these keys and lost keys will be charged at 40 Euros.

SMOKING

Smoking is not permitted in any of the internal parts of El Amparo or the courtyard area where dinner is served, however do not object to smoking as long as it is away from other guests and cigarette or cigar butts are disposed of. We can Provide an ashtray on request.

IMPORTANT : DRINKING & EATING AT EL AMPARO

We run a friendly and relaxed Bed & Breakfast however we do provision Drinks and Food based upon our bookings, We do not object to Drinks and snacks purchased from outside being drunk and eaten in the privacy of your room however we do not allow them to be consumed around the pool, bar, courtyard or in any public areas. If you have a special Wine you like or Champagne, we charge €15 Corkage for Wine and €20 for Champagne. We have a temperature-controlled wine fridge and are happy to store your wine so it can be best enjoyed.

We hope that doesn’t sound too harsh, but we are trying to create a great relaxed atmosphere, we put a lot of effort and staff resources into making sure guests have the best time possible, profit from our food and drink sales enables that, this is pretty much our only serious rule !

WIFI

WiFi is available around the courtyard area, salon and in the guest rooms. Password is "spider11"

SWIMMING POOL DISCLAIMER

All adults staying at Lemon Tree Retreat / El Amparo are required to read and Sign.

1. Please note that the swimming pool at Lemon Tree Retreat / El Amparo is unsupervised and there is no fence/gate surrounding the swimming pool and no Life Guard.
2. Guests using the swimming pool and swimming pool surround do so entirely facilities at their own risk.
3. The owners of Lemon Tree Retreat / El Amparo and its staff shall be completely held harmless against any and all liability, loss of life and/or property fees and cost of litigation, resulting from any and all swimming pool accidents or incidents occurring at the Villa during the period of the guest booking.
4. Swimming Pools can be extremely dangerous for unsupervised children and guests are advised to exercise extreme care.

1. All children and teenagers, regardless of swimming ability, should be supervised at all times by an adult that can swim and is able to jump into the pool to assist a child in danger of drowning.
2. STRICTLY No running or jumping around the pool area is permitted.
3. STRICTLY NO DIVING
4. No glass items are allowed in or near the pool.
5. For sanitary purposes, we respectfully request that all children that are not fully potty trained use swim diapers, please inform us immediately if there are any “accidents” of this nature !
6. Please notify us of any potentially dangerous pool or garden condition that may require rectification by us.

DISCLAIMER I hereby confirm that: I have read understood and agree to abide by the Terms of use set out above for use of the swimming pool. I (and any visitors to the property) will use the swimming pool and associated facilities entirely at my own risk and waive any claim I may have against the owners of Lemon Tree Retreat / El Amparo and its staff arising from any injury which I may suffer directly or indirectly as a result of my own/my party's/my family's use of the Swimming pool.
I agree to NEVER leave a child or teenager unattended on the property. I understand that there is NO safety fence/gate surrounding the pool.

Payment Policy

Guests booking the flex Rate will be asked to settle their total bill consisting of room cost, food and beverages and any extras booked, on the day of departure.

All room rates are inclusive of IVA however IVA at 10% will be charged on food, beverages and extras activities booked.

Discounted room rate are non refundable and are payable in advance , guests preferring to do bank transfers, please deposit into account

Cancellation Policy

We are a small business, so cancellations can have a big impact on us, especially if we have turned away potential guests in favour of someone who has already booked and then cancels. We strongly advise clients to take cancellation insurance when booking their trip.

In the event of a cancellation of a flex rate booking up to 7 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival no charge will be made.

If you cancel within 7 days of the scheduled date of arrival, 50% of the reservation price will be charged, including any pre-booked extras.

Guests failing to show without notification will be charged the full reservation price.

Cancellations by Us

Should it become necessary for us to cancel a booking we will contact you immediately. Any payments made will be refunded in full. Should you wish to, we will attempt to book you into another local Bed & Breakfast, should this establishment be more expensive we will pay the difference for your first night of your stay. Our liability will not extend beyond these conditions.
