Elemental Resort, formally known as the "Queens Cottages" was established in the 1960s. These comforting cabins have been newly renovated with a unique sense of rustic modern, while still retaining that outdoors-man spirit. Resting on the shores of a spring fed lake, Big Shag lake ( 194 acres in size), you can gaze at the many, many beauties resting here in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. With our provided boats, you can easily catch yourself out on the water all day, or choose to relax on the shore with a campfire with good friends and good food. Only being two miles from the resort, The Up North Lodge is a popular formal restaurant, a perfect place to experience northern ambiance while dining, or to just have good drink.
Being 25 minutes from downtown Marquette, 15 minutes from Sawyer International Airport and 10 minutes from the central town of Gwinn, you are conveniently located in a special area deep within the heart of the woods. Shag Lake is a popular all sport spring fed lake twenty five minutes from Marquette, fifteen minutes from regional airport and ten minutes from the town of Gwinn with grocery stores and restaurants. The popular Up North lodge bar and dining is a regional destination and only two miles away. The resort has eight unique residences that surround a nicely landscaped area facing the lake for a barbecue ,sitting by a bonfire, or relaxing with a book, or heading out to fish on your own boat we provide.

No animals on the furniture . Clean up after you dog.

$20 per person/per day if exceeds over (35) with a $2500 refundable deposit.

Payments are due and charged in full upon reservation.

Cancellation Policy

Guest have 60 days from check- in date to request a cancellation with a 100% refund. 30 days from check in date to request a cancellation with a 50% refund.
