Far From Retreat and Santuary

Far From Retreat and Animal Sanctuary is set in the heart of the rural Brecon Beacons National Park.

Our quite and peaceful mountain, reservoir location is the perfect place to either relax and unwind, create family memories and adventures or embrace the wild, walking, hiking, cycling, climbing, caving, gorge walking and so on.

Far From offers optional extras to our guests, to make your holiday experience more memorable.

Hot Tub
Our hot tub is hired out by the day and is located on a decking overlooking the reservoir. It has a fire pit and eating area. We include a starter fire kit, candles and everything you need to make s’mores over the fire. Here in the Brecon Beacons we are one of the few uk night sky reserves. Layback in the warmth and bubbles of the hot tub and take in the beauty of the nights sky.

Animal Experiences
In the day we offer animal experiences to suit adults or children of all ages. We are a not for profit holiday retreat will all the money going to caring for and securing the lives of our rescued animal. On our animal experiences we create a unique opportunity for you to accompany the owners on their morning duties. You have the opportunity to get hands on with the animals though out the experience. Pet, groom, rug and walk the animals whilst hearing their stories and seeing the future they now have ahead of them thanks to people holidaying with us.

You will get to see donkeys, miniature horses, miniature pigs, friendly sheep, goats and alpacas. This experience enables you to go behind the scenes and see the heart and soul of Far From.

All our holiday properties have spectacular reservoir views, outdoor space for cooking, eating and enjoying the scenery whilst being surrounded by rescued animals.
