Terms & Conditions
The guests / hirer shall ensure a reasonable standard of cleanliness of the premises at all times during their stay. At the end of their stay guests should leave the Lodge in as good a condition as that found on arrival.
The hirer binds and obliges himself/herself to pay the lessor in respect of any loss or damage beyond fair wear and tear, except where such accidental loss or damage is covered by insurance in which case payment may be limited to the cost of any insurance excess or similar plus an administration charge. Where the damage or loss is the result of negligence or deliberate act of the hirer or any in his or her party, full liability will remain with the hirer irrespective of any insurance policy.
Except when loading & unloading, Guests are asked to park in the car park area a short way beyond the Lodge in front of the walled garden. The area at the rear of the Lodge adjacent to the fire escape must not be obstructed and is for loading and unloading only.
For bookings taken after 13th September 2016, Dogs are generally not permitted to enter the lodge for B&B bookings. For whole-lodge bookings taken before this date dogs are welcome with prior agreement and payment, but under no circumstances are dogs allowed upstairs, on any furniture, or in the kitchens. Dogs may not be left unattended to roam free inside the Lodge at any time.
Glencanisp Lodge and the surrounding area are premises licensed in terms of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005. Consumption of alcohol on these premises is subject to all the terms of the Act whether or not the alcohol is purchased on the premises. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic drinks, but are respectfully reminded to drink responsibly and to ensure that alcohol is not supplied to persons under the age of 18 other than as permitted in terms of the Act.
For whole-lodge bookings (rather than per-room bookings) -
Upon arrival guests are expected to write the names of all members of the group on the provided Fire List sheet to act as a check-list in case of fire.
On departure, please empty all bins and waste paper baskets into the appropriate wheeled bins located at the rear of the lodge.
Guests are encouraged to take glass for recycling directly to the recycling area located at the car park adjacent to Lochinver church on the seafront.
A booking is only confirmed upon receipt by Assynt Biz, or by an intermediary website company acting on our behalf, of an initial payment, which is non-refundable. The initial payment forms a deposit which is deductible from the total hire charge. The balance of the hire charge must be paid at least 6 weeks prior to the commencement of the hire. The lessor may treat the booking as cancelled if the balance of the hire charge is not sent by the due date. If the booking is made within 6 weeks of the start of the hire period, payment in full at the time of booking is required.
The hirer agrees that, in the event of cancellation by the hirer less than 6 weeks before arrival date, the hirer will be responsible for paying for the full cost for the period of tenancy booked.
Guests may enter the Lodge from 5.00 pm. Guests must vacate the lodge by 10 am, on their last day. The Housekeeping team will enter the lodge at 10am to commence changeover.
Guests are requested not to move furniture around. In particular beds and mattresses must not be moved.
Payment can be made by card, cash, or bank transfer
If you cancel 72 hours before booking in then no fee shall be paid, any time after that then one night's fee shall be paid
