THANK YOU for choosing to stay with us at Hotel Metropolitan.

Below are Hotel Metropolitan policies and procedures.
As our hotel guests, by reading and signing your hotel registration card at check-in or by booking a reservation on our website or through online booking sites, you are agreeing to abide by our hotel policies and procedures.

CHECK IN-
Check in time is any time after 3 PM. We offer a contactless Check in process by using Security Access Key Pads for the Building and the Rooms. This information will be emailed to you on day of arrival.

The reservation will be canceled if the guest is unable to provide the required $100 security deposit at check in.

Hotel Metropolitan reserves the right to refuse service to any guests who do not follow or comply with hotel policies.

CHECK OUT-
Check out is at 11 AM. If you require a later check out, please contact us before 10 AM on the day of departure and we will do our best to accommodate your request if possible.
An additional charge may apply depending on availability.

AGE RESTRICTIONS-
Guests must be 18 years or older to check in without a parent or legal guardian.

NO PETS-
All pets are prohibited on hotel property. A fine of $250 will be applied to the bill if a pet is discovered. Service animals are allowed with proper documentation proving that they are legitimate service animals. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA.

NO IN-ROOM PARTIES-
Hotel Metropolitan has a no disturbance policy in all guest rooms.
Any noise or repeated disturbance complaints will be investigated by our staff. In the event of a disturbance all non-registered guests will be asked to leave the room.
If the disturbance continues, the registered guest may be asked to leave the property without a refund. Additional fees may be applied if other guests were disturbed causing revenue loss. Any room damages occurred will also apply.

NO SMOKING-
Smoking of any kind, which includes medical marijuana and vaping, is strictly prohibited in all areas of the hotel property including the fire escape and balconies.
A $250 fine will be applied for smoking of any kind in the rooms or common areas.

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE REQUESTS-
Hotel Metropolitan is a green property. We will only change your linens or service your room per your request. If you would like your room to be serviced by our housekeeping team, please submit your request before 12 PM. Your room is not guaranteed to be service if your request is placed after 12 PM.

Property rights, Liability, and Complaint Policies-
This property is private owned and the management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone without refund. Hotel Metropolitan is not responsible for accidents or injury to any guests or visitors, including personal items. Guest complaints must be in writing and submitted within one hour of incident. If regarding an issue outside your guest room or within the first 30 minutes from check-in time stated on the guest registration form, please contact the hotel front desk immediately. Responses, actions and/or adjudication are provided within three (3) business days or sooner.
All forms must be submitted during your visit and in person with the hotel front desk. In the desk is not manned, the issue can be sent via email or the Third Party booking ie; Expedia or Hotels.com etc. hotelmetropolitanlb@gmail,com (This line of the policy edited 2/27/2024 to ass third parties)
No exceptions.

Hotel Metropolitan was originally built in 1922.

This historic landmark has been preserved and has no first floor rooms or elevators available. Since the property was built in 1922.

** Parking*** We do not have a parking lot and we have partnered with the structure alongside the Marriott Courtyard to offer us a discounted rate of $15 per night. Please advise prior to your arrival if you need these arrangements. Thank you (This is only 1 block from the hotel)

Payment Policy

Payment Policy and Incidentals-
Hotel Metropolitan will charge the credit card on file for the entire cost of the reservation at the time of booking. And additional $100 hold will be placed on your payment method during your stay. Cash or prepaid debit cards will not be excepted for the $100 incidental deposit hold. This deposit hold will be released after check out as long as no damage to the room occurs. Portions of the hold can/will be retained in the case that theft or loss occurs, including towels, pillows, bed linens, hotel furnishings, etc. Any breakage or damage of hotel property incurred during your stay, or cleaning charges in excess of normal level of cleaning will also be applied. Items left behind and requested to be mailed will incur a minimum charge of $10 and may take up to 30 days to receive. We apologize for any inconvenience. To avoid this, please be sure to thoroughly check your room for items that are of value to you prior to your departure.
The reservation will be canceled if the guest is unable to provide the $100 security deposit at check in.

Credit Card Policy-
Reservation name and credit card in printed name must match. A physical swipe of the credit card must take place on property, with cardholder present. Any discrepancies with funds or name match is subject to cancellation at hotel discretion without notice.
You agree that your liability for all charges during your stay is not waived and agree to be held personally liable in the event that the indicated person, guest, company, visitor, association or credit card issuer fails to pay for any part and/or the full amount of accrued charges. California Penal Code 484–502. 9
