CECCO ANGIOLIERI

The name of the room is in honour of the eclectic Siennese poet Cecco Angiolieri (1260-1312), member of the notable family of the “Angiolieri”.

The room is a double bedroom, perfect for couples. From the windows, you can admire the Basilica of San Domenico. In honour of the eclectic character of Cecco Angiolieri, the room has a quirky touch given by a very spacious and modern in-room shower facing the bed and from where you can admire the Basilica of San Domenico. This Basilica was initiated in 13th century and was then enlarged in the 14th century resulting in the Gothic appearance it has now. However, aspects of the Gothic structure were subsequently destroyed by fires during the 15th century and further damage later resulted from military occupation. In honour of the eclectic character of Cecco Angiolieri the room has a quirky touch given by a very spacious and modern in-room shower facing the bed and from where you can admire the Basilica of San Domenico. The furnishing of this bedroom is modern and on the wall there are two ancient paintings depicting old battles. The room comes complete with a private bathroom paved with modern grey tiles from the well-known Mutina brand and a toilet. The shower is in the room in front of the bed nicely projected in sandstone and crystal.

JACOPO DELLA QUERCIA Book

JACOPO DELLA QUERCIA
The name of this bedroom pays respect to the Siennese sculptor Jacopo della Quercia (1374-1438). Jacopo was a sculptor during the Italian Renaissance, a contemporary of Brunelleschi, Ghiberti and Donatello.

The room is a double bedroom, perfect for couples. It is possible to have a different set with two single beds. The room has particular details in iron from middle ages above the bed and the construction technique was very common during Jacopo's time and is the main reason behind the room’s name.

SANTA CATERINA Book

SANTA CATERINA
The name was chosen to remember Caterina Benincasa (1347-1380), known as Santa Caterina or Catherine of Siena. According to legend she fell down the steps leading to the Cathedral whilst tempted by the devil.

The suite has two big door-windows that open on to the terrace. From the terrace, where there is a table with two chairs for relaxing, wine tasting or making breakfast, the view to Siena's rooftops and the two churches (Santa Caterina and san Domenico) is lovely.

PAPA ALESSANDRO VII Book

PAPA ALESSANDRO VII
This bedroom has been named in memory of the Siennese Fabio Chigi (1599-1667). He became the 237th Pope of the Roman Catholic Church in 1655 under the name of Alessandro VII.

With two double bedrooms, the Pope Alessandro VII room is like a small apartment. Each bedroom has its own double bed. Therefore the room normally accommodates 4 people. As well as the spaces designated for sleeping, there is also a cozy room with a table and four chairs.

FRANCESCO DI GIORGIO MARTINI Book

FRANCESCO DI GIORGIO MARTINI
The name of this bedroom is testimony to the great Siennese architect Francesco di Giorgio Martini (1439-1502) who lived in the apartment as testified by the bust collocated in the façade of the building.

The suite has two windows overlooking the stunning Piazza San Giovanni, with a view of the entire Cathedral (Cathedral staircase, Baptistery of Siena), the top of the Torre del Mangia and the streets of ancient Siena. The furnishing of this bedroom is modern and there are paintings of Italian artists on the wall.
