Terms & Conditions

• Check-in time is 3:00 PM ET

• Check-out time is 10:00 AM ET

• Free parking is available to all our guests.

• Swimming, fishing, anchoring watercraft, etc. is at your own risk. Owners are not responsible for accidents or injuries to guests and/or for loss of money or valuables of any kind.

• Please do not move the furniture or rearrange the rooms as it causes damage to the floors and wall trim. If it is determined that the furniture has been moved and damages have occurred, there will be a minimum charge of $200 to your credit card on file for repairs.

• We reserve the right to charge for any damage to, or removal of, items from the premises and/or unusual cleaning that goes beyond the standard 2-hour allotment.

Damaged or missing items from rooms post check out will be charged to your credit card on file. These include but are not limited to remote controls, linens, pillows, mugs, room key, books, etc., Please inquire if you have any questions or concerns about this policy.

• While smoking is permitted outside, the Island View Cottages are non-smoking for reasons of health, safety and comfort for all of our guests. Guests who violate the policy and smoke in premises are subject to a minimum $400.00 charge for returning the room to smoke-free status and agree to being charged by accepting this policy. We appreciate your understanding.

• The Yellow cottage of Island View Cottages is pet-friendly and no more than 2 pets may accompany a single reservation. All pets must be leashed when visiting common areas and pet owners are responsible for their pet’s waste pick-up and disposal. Island View Cottages is not responsible for accidents or injuries to guests or property involving pets.

A $100, non-refundable, pet fee is required at time of booking. No unregistered pets are permitted on the property unless prior approval has been provided by management. Failure to obtain prior approval will cause a $300 charge to your credit card on file and/or you will be asked to leave the property without a refund.

• All loud music must be quieted by 11:00 PM ET. If the neighbors call the police, for any reason, your credit card will be charged $250 each time and/or you will be asked to leave the property without a refund.

• Fireworks are not permitted on the property.

• Items left behind and requested to be mailed will incur a minimum charge of $10 and may take up to 30 days to receive. We apologize for any inconvenience. To avoid this, please be sure to thoroughly check your room for items that are of value to you prior to your departure.

• All photo shoots and filming are subject to advance approval by the owners. At least seven days advance written notice required prior to any personal or professional photo shoots. No closed-door filming allowed. Additional fees apply. In other words, you may not simply reserve a room for a photo shoot or filming. This also applies to day of events such as weddings. A liaison designated by the Island View Cottages will be assigned to monitor all photo shoots and filming. Please call us at 216-903-6545 for further details. A separate contract is required.

• No hourly rates available.

• No cash accepted onsite.

Payment Policy

• Our rates are all inclusive for a maximum 6 persons occupancy plus a $125 cleaning fee. A $400, non-refundable, security deposit is required at time of booking and direct reservations will process the remaining balance to the credit card on file one week prior to the day of check-in. All other channels (e.g. booking.com, etc.) may require full payment in advance. No cash accepted onsite.

• Island View Cottages will charge all outstanding balances to the credit card on file 7 days prior to check-in date. If you wish to use a different credit card, please contact management no later than 8 days in advance of check-in date.

• Island View Cottages are pet-friendly, however, we only book pet reservations in the Yellow cottage. A $100, non-refundable, security deposit is required at time of booking. Any damage to the cottage caused by the pet will have replacement costs charged to the credit card on file.

Cancellation Policy

• As we are a small independent business, cancellations affect us greatly.

Therefore, all cancellations are subject to forfeit of the non-refundable security deposit, in the amount of $400. All other pre-paid fees will be reimbursed to the credit card on file, in full.

• Please be sure to acquire trip insurance in the event of unexpected illness, death or weather-related emergencies as we are not able to make an exception to this policy.

• All cancellations must be provided to the manager in writing. You will receive any refund due within 30 business days.
