TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
All persons, including children, traveling by air between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico are required to present a valid passport, Merchant Mariner Document, or NEXUS Card. All U.S. and Canadian citizens who are 16 and older traveling between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, by land or sea ports of entry, are required to present a valid passport or a passport card, a trusted traveler card such as NEXUS, SENTRI, or FAST, or enhanced driver’s license. U.S. and Canadian citizens who are 15 years old or younger are allowed to travel with just a copy of their birth certificate. TRANSPORTATION
To fully enjoy the area, a car is essential. U.S. automobile insurance does not protect you from liability in Mexico. Traffic accidents are serious offenses. Therefore, it is important that you obtain a valid insurance policy issued by a licensed Mexican insurance company. Mexican insurance “quick stops” are readily found along the highway before you cross the border.

CAR RENTALS
Most car rental companies do not allow their cars to be taken across the border. One such company, that does allow their cars to be driven across the border is Hertz.

VALUABLES — INSURANCE
Royalty Travel is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Members and guests assume responsibility for the safety and security of their personal effects. Inquire with your insurance company about coverage while on vacation.

MONEY EXCHANGE
U.S. dollars are accepted everywhere in Rosarito Beach, however, Canadian money is not. As the exchange houses (both sides of the U.S. border) do not handle Canadian currency, you may wish to exchange your money for U.S. dollars before you travel. Traveler’s checks are not readily accepted and even though some establishments accept credit cards, many do not — ask before you make your purchase. There are ATM machines in town that dispense monies in Mexican currency.

LATE ARRIVAL/SPECIAL REQUESTS
If you plan to arrive after 5 p.m., or on any day other than a Saturday, the official check-in day, be sure to notify the reservation department in Palm Springs at least two weeks ahead of your scheduled arrival date and time. The same applies to special requests such as a baby crib or welcome pack.

WELCOME PACK
As it may be inconvenient to buy groceries upon check-in, a welcome pack containing butter, bread, eggs, milk, cheese, orange juice, lunch meat, mustard, coca-cola, beer, and marmalade may be ordered through the Palm Springs office. The starter pack includes tea, coffee, and sugar. Front-desk personnel who will collect the US$45 fee for this service will deliver it to you on your arrival.

MAID SERVICES
Maid service is provided six days a week, which includes dusting, bed making, mopping, and emptying of trash with the change of linens on Saturday and midweek.

CHECK-IN & CHECKOUT
Front-desk personnel at La Paloma will greet you, check you in, and see that you are comfortably settled in your unit. The check-in office is to the right of the main gate and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

OCCUPANCY TAX
The Mexican government has imposed an occupancy tax on all hotel and time-share establishments. To comply with this law, you must pay US$10 per week or US$1.50 per day upon check-in.

AMENITIES
Swimming pools, sauna, Jacuzzi, exercise room, horseshoe pit, a clubhouse with billiard and card tables, jogging paths, tennis, Café, Laundromat; complimentary Wi-Fi is available at the main clubhouse.

Payment Policy

- In order to confirm your reservation the full amount is required as payment.
- US$100 security deposit is required upon check-in as a holding in your credit card and will be refund after check out.
- The Mexican government has imposed an occupancy tax on all hotel and time share establishments. To comply with this law, you must pay US$10 per week or US$1.50 per day upon check-in.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your reservation at least 8 days before your arrival date the full amount will be refunded to you, less $50 USD cancellation service fee.
- If you cancel your reservation 7 days or less, there will be no refund.
