Welcome to The Newport.
Opening in June 2015, we strive to combine many elements under one roof. Situated in Newport-On-Tay with unrivalled views, we offer locally sourced food and drink, in spectacular surroundings.
Build in 1806, The Newport is one of the original buildings of Newport - a small riverside suburb to Dundee, St Andrews and beyond. From its humble beginnings as a Posting House, The Newport now boasts a stunning restaurant split over two levels with food from award winning chef, Jamie Scott. Our lively bar hosts regular music nights and entertainment, with regular outdoor festivals throughout the year.
Take a wander around Tatha Gallery, where we aim to make art accessible to patrons of all ages and backgrounds. We believe that art is powerful, given the chance, it can exert major benefits on peoples lives. We hope that you will discover that the Tatha Gallery is a welcoming, fun and un-intimidating space in which to spend time with families and friends.

By using this website and The Newport online booking service you are agreeing to be bound by the Terms and Conditions detailed below which form the basis of your contract with The Newport.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Our suites are available from 3 pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 11.00am on the day of departure unless otherwise sanctioned at the discretion of the manager. If you plan to arrive after 10.00pm, please advise us of your arrival.
We regret that our four suites may not be suitable for guests with impaired mobility or other particular requirements. Please contact the hotel prior to completing your booking should you have any concerns or special requests. We offer four individually designed suites, two of which are family suites with fold out double beds. All our suites are generously proportioned, with King size beds or larger and finished to the highest of standards.
Dinner reservations cannot be guaranteed with your room booking and must be made through our dedicated website at www.thenewportrestaurant.co.uk At peak times, our restaurant can be extremely busy, and we recommend confirming your dinner reservation prior to completing your booking.
Breakfast included in the room rate. Please note in your booking if you have arranged to dine with us in our restaurant.
We accept the following methods of payment: credit cards: MasterCard, Visa; debit cards - Visa/Delta and Visa/Electron. We do not accept American Express cards.
We welcome children and small families at The Newport. Two of our rooms are suitable for small families, each with a fold out double bed. Please select the relevant option when making your booking. A £10 laundry surcharge will be added to your bill. A cot is available on request for no extra charge.
Our properties are smoke-free and penalty fees will be applied if you smoke in the hotel or restaurant.
We regret that we do not allow dogs in any of our suites. (except guide dogs)
Gift vouchers should be handed declared upon arrival.
DAMAGES, BREAKAGES & ANTISOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
Here at The Newport, you will be treated with respect and courtesy, we only ask you do the same.
However there are a few who do not treat our staff or property in a similar manner and for those, we need these regulations. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you and/or those that accompany you, whether they are staying in the property or not, cause to the Newport,
accommodation and its contents including the front and outside areas. We ask that you report any incidents as they occur. While we do not normally charge for minor accidental breakages we will charge and debit your card for the full cost of all other breakages,
missing items and for the replacement and/or make good of any damage. We may also make a further charge of £50 if you did not report such an occurrence.
Additionally, there will be a charge of £100 for soiled bedding, towels, carpets, furnishings and décor caused by, but not limited to, vomit, food and drink stains, blood and bed wetting. We will also charge in full for any lost room nights resulting from any such damage and incidents mentioned in these conditions.
Excessive noise, unruly and threatening behaviour and the like which causes inconvenience and discomfort to our other guests and/or staff is not acceptable. Such behaviour will result in the offending person/s being asked to vacate their room and leave the hotel premises but will be charged for their booked stay.
By signing your guest card upon arriving we are entrusting that you will abide by our regulations throughout your stay.
While all reasonable efforts have been taken to ensure the accuracy of information on the Websites, the Company does not accept responsibility for errors or omissions and reserve the right to amend, cancel or vary any of the arrangements featured on the Websites without notice.

Full payment will be taken just after completion of the booking process. This payment will secure your reservation.
In the event of a cancellation this payment will be refunded if the reservation is cancelled within the terms of our cancellation policy.

All outstanding charges must be paid for in full on check-out from the Hotel.
Should you cancel your reservation giving us less than 48 hours notice or simply not arrive, we would will not refund any amount paid in advance and will deduct the balance due on your accommodation from your given card number.
Wereserve the right to debit your card the full amount of the booking.
