Terms & Conditions

All bookings, regardless of source, are subject to the following terms and conditions: All prices include VAT, currently set by the Government at 20%. Should you confirm your booking and this rate subsequently changes we will adjust this accordingly on your departure. Breakfast including Fruit Juice and either Tea or Coffee are normally included in the cost of the room. Tea and Coffee making facilities and a bottle of Mineral Water are provided in your room. Other meals and drinks are not included and can be purchased in the Fireside Restaurant.. Special rates for Children and Babies are based on sharing a room with a parent or guardian. Special requests are at the discretion of the owners. We always welcome guests with disabilities. Please ring or e-mail to discuss any specific requirements. We are dog friendly! There is only a one-off charge of £10 per dog, which remains the same regardless of the length of your stay. We do ask, however, that you bring your own dog bed. Please do not allow your dog onto the Hotel beds or chairs. If you do, you will be liable for any extra cleaning costs and/or any repairs as required.
DEPOSITS, CANCELLATIONS & NON SHOW We respectfully remind guests that a booking constitutes a contract. A minimum deposit of £90 per room is charged at the time of booking. The difference between this and the total cost of your stay is payable on departure. You can check into your room any time between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. Checking in outside of these hours is by prior written arrangement only. Should you fail to check in within these times it will be treated as a non show/cancellation. For cancellations received less than seven days before 3 p.m. on the agreed day of arrival: you will be liable to pay the full amount for the booking of the room. Should the room subsequently be let on behalf of the person cancelling then only the deposit will be payable. In the event of a room booking being cancelled more than seven days before the agreed arrival time then the deposit will be held for up to six months and can be used against another booking. After the six month period has expired the deposit is forfeited. Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable to another customer. Bookings will be fully charged where customers leave earlier than stated at the time of making the booking.
In the case of group bookings, the person booking is solely responsible for all aspects of the reservation, including compliance with the terms and conditions set out here. In the event of non show, cancellation, loss or damage the person booking is liable for any costs incurred, according to these terms and conditions.
It is your responsibility to ensure that any keys or other items loaned to you during your stay are returned before you leave. You are liable for the full cost of replacing any items that are not returned. If any items belonging to the Hotel are lost or damaged by you or anyone in your group you will be liable for the full cost of repair or replacement. Any cancellation must be confirmed in writing and acknowledged as received by the Hotel. All bookings made through Third Parties are still subject to the Hotel’s standard terms and conditions. Any goods such as souvenirs, books or cards should be inspected on purchase for any fault or damage. No responsibility can be taken for this after you have left the premises. In common with all Hotels in Britain, it is illegal to smoke within the Hotel building. You will be liable for any damage or cleaning costs incurred by any member of your group who does so. Prices are correct at the time of publication and may subject to change.

Payment Policy

On booking, a deposit will be taken equal to the amount of the first night of your stay. The remainder is payable before your departure.

Cancellation Policy

Key Points:

Your deposit is non-refundable but is transferable to another date within six months of the original date. This applies to cancellations where the Pen-y-Bont Hotel is given a minimum of seven days notice. Where cancellation is within seven days of your arrival the full amount of your stay is then chargeable.
