We are a family friendly budget bed and breakfast. We accept well behaved children of all ages and offer an all you can eat pirate pancake breakfast. Effective immediately: NO BACHELOR OR BACHELORETTE PARTIES.
Our rooms do not have individual TV's which keeps the noise down and helps our guests get a restful night's sleep. Furthering our efforts to be the last affordable option in town for couples and families, our kitchen is available for guest use from 930AM to 10PM. We are kid friendly with the largest collection of pirate toys of any hotel in the known galaxy, bedtime reading for kids and a collection of games and books in our common room. We have been described by our guests as funky, eclectic and homey. If you are used to staying in box hotels or froo-froo BnB's, please do not consider staying with us. We strive to be unpretentious and drama free. We have one of the best locations in town, such that many guests park their cars and never have to move them during their stay. This room does not have a bathroom in the room and is usually $20 cheaper than other rooms. the Bathroom is located 2 steps down the hall and is shared with the staff (so it should be the cleanest bathroom of them all!)

Terms & Conditions

Please remember that we do not allow pets. Check in time is anytime after 11AM until 10PM. If you plan to arrive after 10PM, please give us a call a day or two before you arrive and we will give you the door code so that you can get in and get your room key.

Reservations for a particular room cannot always be guaranteed! For instance, a couple may reserve either the Map Room or the Pirate Room which are designated as family rooms, however, if a family makes a reservation request, we reserve the right to move the couple into another room. The longer your booking is for, the less likely you will be moved to a different room.

Parking Is notoriously difficult in St. Augustine. When the city was founded in 1565, horse parking was considerably easier.
We currently have one space for each room, however 2 of the spaces in the 'side lot' can fit two cars one behind the other (not two large pickups or SUV's!). Parking is first come, first serve.
If you need parking for 2 vehicles, please let us know when you book and we will make our best effort to accommodate your need but we cannot guarantee it.
People who arrived the day before you may have paid for a spot for their entire stay. We charge $10 per spot per day. You can also pay $12-15 for the private lot across the street from the building if a spot is available. They ask that you move your car by 9AM. Metered parking is available on the streets around us and will run $2.50 per hour between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Free on Sundays and Holidays.

Policies: By signing below, I agree to the following policies: Re-register or check out before 10AM. Vehicles of guests checking out need to be moved by 11AM! To check out earlier than 8AM, talk with the manager on the night before departure. 7-day notice is required for refunds. Video and Audio recording devices in use in common areas, your signature below acknowledges your consent to being recorded. Do NOT admit unregistered persons onto Pirate Haus property. Prohibited: LOUD OR UNRULY BEHAVIOR, INTOXICATION, DRUGS, PETS.

Damaged item charge: Cost of replacement plus 25%, $25 MINIMUM CHARGE. SMOKING PERMITTED OUTSIDE ONLY! A $150 DEODORIZING FEE WILL BE ASSESSED TO GUESTS WHO SMOKE IN THE ROOMS.

I understand management reserves the right to refuse service and limit the length of stay for anyone. I will not hold the management or owner responsible for accidents or injury to myself or my companion(s) or for the loss of money, jewelry, or other valuables of any kind, to include any damage to vehicles parked in the designated parking area. I understand that video and audio recordings may be made in public areas of the Inn, and I freely give my consent for these recordings. I accept responsibility for myself and my companion(s) and all charges incurred.

Payment Policy

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Cash, Amex, JCB, Silver 8 Reales (Pieces of 8) and Gold Doubloons.

*Confirmed reservations require a credit card guarantee and a deposit equal to the first night’s stay. If multiple rooms are reserved, then each one requires a deposit.

*Stays with a value over $500 require a 50% deposit at time of booking.

*Rates are based on double occupancy.

*Rates do not include 6.5% sales tax and 4% local lodging tax.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy:
If you need to cancel your reservation or any portion of your reservation, please note that for cancellations more than 7 days (14 days during holiday/special event weekends) you will be refunded your deposit minus a $35 cancellation fee.

If you are not able to give us the required cancellation notice, we will make our best effort to sell the room, however if we are unable to do so, you will be responsible for the entire amount due (Why? We are a small inn and the best deal in the historic district. Chances are we will have turned down other requests for your room before you arrive.) Your understanding in this matter is appreciated.

We send e-mail cancellation confirmations. Your reservation is not cancelled until you have received an email cancellation confirmation. If you think you cancelled and have not received a cancellation confirmation, please call us as soon as possible to ensure that you will not be charged.
