We will be open for businesses from Mid May 2021 ( subject to government directions ) and can assure guests and visitors that we have taken various extra precautions in line with WHO and Government guidelines and implemented procedures, including:
* Placing anti-bacterial hand sanitizer and extra tissues in communal areas around the Hotels
* Increased cleaning regime in public areas, bedrooms, and behind the scenes
* Additional staff training and awareness of recommended procedures to follow in current circumstances
* Extra cleaning and decontamination procedures will be implemented, in line with WHO/ NHS/Government guidance for environmental cleaning (following a suspected or actual case of COVID-19)

Pulteney House’s rooms are all centrally heated and tastefully decorated to a very high standard to ensure your stay with us is a pleasant one.
Pulteney House’s Bath city centre location means that it is uniquely placed to offer you easy and convenient access to the very best restaurants in Bath, Bath’s shopping centres, the Bath Thermae Spa and many more tourist attractions in Bath.

Pulteney House is family run and provide a warm and homely welcome to all guests,and have done so since 1979. The large, mature, award wining gardens are always kept in beautiful condition and guests are encouraged to utilise them to the full where children can play in absolute safety.

Both Bus and Train stations are about a 10 - 15 minute walk away, or a 5 minute drive by Taxi ( £8 )

If knowledge of additional guests is made aware once entry to the property has already been made, we reserve the right to do one of the following:

Ask the whole party to leave immediately without any refund of money paid for unused days
Agree an additional charge for the extra people and take payment accordingly

Rentals commence, unless otherwise agreed, at 3 p.m. on the day of arrival and terminate at 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure. Failure to vacate all or part of the property by the requisite time may result in further charges. The property will be left in a clean and tidy state at the end of the stay with cleaning utensils available for the guests to use. Failure to do so will result in a cleaning charge.

A deposit equal to 100% of the total rental cost is to be paid at the time of booking.
We are pleased to accept the following forms of payment:
1.Bank Transfer: Pounds sterling (all charges to be paid by the Visitor). Bank details available upon request
2.Credit Cards - Visa or MasterCard accepted

Keys

One set of keys will be issued to the guest upon arrival. In the event that keys are not returned upon departure from the property, or in the event of lost keys, a charge of £50 plus VAT will be made to the Visitor. Should a Visitor be locked out of the property and need to gain entry between the hours of 6pm and 8am, a charge of £40 may be applied.

Damage

It is the Visitors responsibility to keep the interior and contents of the property in the same state of repair and cleanliness as at the beginning of the letting, allowing for reasonable wear and tear. In the event of any breakages, damage or extra cleaning required after the Visitor has vacated, we will notify the Visitor by e-mail within 2 weeks of vacating the premises advising the damages caused and any costs incurred. We reserve the right to add a reasonable administration fee to cover the time incurred dealing with the damages.

In the event of any complaints of noise or disrespect and damage to the property we have the right to ask you to leave with immediate effect and without any compensation for unused days.

Cleaning
As part of your contract the property is cleaned on a weekly basis with linen change on the changeover day for any stays 8 nights or longer. Should you wish to have the property cleaned on additional days this can be arranged at a cost of £15 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours per day. Please kindly arrange this prior to your arrival..

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing.

In the event of a cancellation we will make every effort possible to re-let the property you have booked. If we are successful then full repayment of any funds paid will be made provided we can re-rent the same property, for the same or greater amount, less an administration fee of £50. If the amount the property is rented for is less than your original booking, you will only be refunded the difference, less the administration fee. However, if we are not successful in re-letting the property then any funds paid will be forfeit. We therefore strongly recommend cancellation insurance.

If we are forced to cancel your booking for reasons outside our control we will endeavour to first offer you alternative comparable accommodation at no extra cost to you. Should we not be able to provide a suitable replacement property we will reimburse any sums already paid by you in respect of the accommodation. We will be under no further obligation or liability for any losses or expense arising from these alterations.

There are no further circumstances for which we will be liable for a refund.

We reserve the right to cancel any letting should you or any member of your party cause damage to the property, its furniture or contents or should you create a serious disturbance to any adjoining neighbours.

Right of Entry
We shall be allowed access to the property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.

Complaints
We take every care to ensure a successful and enjoyable holiday. However, in the event of a complaint, please get in touch with the Reception immediately. Please kindly note complaints are more easily resolved while you are still in the property.

Liability and Insurance
Pulteney House and its Employees do not accept third party liability in respect of breach of contract, negligence, misrepresentation or otherwise. We cannot in any circumstances accept liability for any personal injury, loss of life, damage, loss or accident to personal property.

Visitors are advised to ensure their own insurance covers any loss or damage to personal property during their stay and to ensure adequate personal and travel insurance is taken out.

Facilities
Pulteney House properties will be provided with electricity, fuel, wifi, linen, and towels and are included in the rental cost. The property will be serviced weekly for stays of 8 nights or longer. Your accommodation will be cleaned, the beds changed and towels replenished. Parking is provided for 1 car onsite.

Rentals commence, unless otherwise agreed, at 3 p.m. on the day of arrival and terminate at 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure. Failure to vacate all or part of the property by the requisite time may result in further charges. The property will be left in a clean and tidy state at the end of the stay with cleaning utensils available for the guests to use. Failure to do so will result in a cleaning charge.

A deposit equal to 100% of the total rental cost is to be paid at the time of booking.
We are pleased to accept the following forms of payment:
1.Bank Transfer: Pounds sterling (all charges to be paid by the Visitor). Bank details available upon request
2.Credit Cards - Visa or MasterCard accepted

Keys

One set of keys will be issued to the guest upon arrival. In the event that keys are not returned upon departure from the property, or in the event of lost keys, a charge of £50 plus VAT will be made to the Visitor. Should a Visitor be locked out of the property and need to gain entry between the hours of 6pm and 8am, a charge of £40 may be applied.

Damage

It is the Visitors responsibility to keep the interior and contents of the property in the same state of repair and cleanliness as at the beginning of the letting, allowing for reasonable wear and tear. In the event of any breakages, damage or extra cleaning required after the Visitor has vacated, we will notify the Visitor by e-mail within 2 weeks of vacating the premises advising the damages caused and any costs incurred. We reserve the right to add a reasonable administration fee to cover the time incurred dealing with the damages.

In the event of any complaints of noise or disrespect and damage to the property we have the right to ask you to leave with immediate effect and without any compensation for unused days.

Cleaning
As part of your contract the property is cleaned on a weekly basis with linen change on the changeover day for any stays 8 nights or longer. Should you wish to have the property cleaned on additional days this can be arranged at a cost of £15 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours per day. Please kindly arrange this prior to your arrival..

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be made in writing.

In the event of a cancellation we will make every effort possible to re-let the property you have booked. If we are successful then full repayment of any funds paid will be made provided we can re-rent the same property, for the same or greater amount, less an administration fee of £50. If the amount the property is rented for is less than your original booking, you will only be refunded the difference, less the administration fee. However, if we are not successful in re-letting the property then any funds paid will be forfeit. We therefore strongly recommend cancellation insurance.

If we are forced to cancel your booking for reasons outside our control we will endeavour to first offer you alternative comparable accommodation at no extra cost to you. Should we not be able to provide a suitable replacement property we will reimburse any sums already paid by you in respect of the accommodation. We will be under no further obligation or liability for any losses or expense arising from these alterations.

There are no further circumstances for which we will be liable for a refund.

We reserve the right to cancel any letting should you or any member of your party cause damage to the property, its furniture or contents or should you create a serious disturbance to any adjoining neighbours.

Right of Entry
We shall be allowed access to the property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.

Complaints
We take every care to ensure a successful and enjoyable holiday. However, in the event of a complaint, please get in touch with the Reception immediately. Please kindly note complaints are more easily resolved while you are still in the property.

Liability and Insurance
Pulteney House and its Employees do not accept third party liability in respect of breach of contract, negligence, misrepresentation or otherwise. We cannot in any circumstances accept liability for any personal injury, loss of life, damage, loss or accident to personal property.

Visitors are advised to ensure their own insurance covers any loss or damage to personal property during their stay and to ensure adequate personal and travel insurance is taken out.

Facilities
Pulteney House properties will be provided with electricity, fuel, wifi, linen, and towels and are included in the rental cost. The property will be serviced weekly for stays of 8 nights or longer. Your accommodation will be cleaned, the beds changed and towels replenished. Parking is provided for 1 car onsite.
Unfortunately we do not allow dogs or pets of any kind in the property.

The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the number agreed at the time of the booking ( 4 people ) Pulteney House reserves the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not respected. If knowledge of additional guests is made aware once entry to the property has already been made, we reserve the right to do one of the following:

Ask the whole party to leave immediately without any refund of money paid for unused days
Agree an additional charge for the extra people and take payment accordingly

Terms & Conditions

Immediate occupancy of the rooms cannot be guaranteed before 2pm on day of arrival. Please let us know your estimated arrival time. Rooms should be vacated by 10.30 am on the day of departure unless alternative arrangements have been made. Latest check in is 9pm as we do not have a 24hr reception . Arrivals after 11pm will forfeit their room booking but still be liable to full charge for that night.

Children and babies must be included in the total number of people for each room. To accommodate babies it would be better to make a telephone booking to ensure the most suitable room is provided, as we would like all our guests to be comfortable and be accommodated appropriately. There are some rooms where babies are able to be accommodated.

There is ample parking in the grounds for guests only. Pulteney House is obliged to state that cars and their contents are parked entirely at car owners' risk.

Pulteney House does not allow smoking or vaping in the rooms. But smoking is allowed in designated smoking areas in the grounds of the guest house.

We regret that we are unable to accommodate any pets other than the Guide dogs of visually impaired guests, or by special arrangements.

Pulteney House reserves the right to alter it's published rates and Terms & Conditions if necessary and without notice.

Payment Policy

Account to be settled on departure if not booked and paid for in full online. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and most major credit cards. We do not accept Travellers Cheques.

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

Cancellation Policy

In all cases a cancellation fee would be payable, the amount depending on advance notice given. We need 14 clear days' written notice of any cancellation, by letter, e-mail or fax to avoid paying the full amount due for the booking, but a fee will be due to cover admin costs. A confirmation e-mail will be sent confirming the cancellation.If shorter or no notice is given we will charge your credit card in full. If however, the room is re-let to another customer we will only charge for any shortfall. Every reasonable effort is made to re-let the room in the event of a short notice cancellation. The deposit paid at the time of booking for those bookings made by phone or e-mail is mostly non-refundable.
