The Parisi Hotel York is a stylish and friendly boutique hotel housed in a converted Victorian rectory with bags of character providing bed and breakfast in the centre of the historic walled city of York

Ideally situated close to all York's many and varied attractions, in an area renowned for its thriving independent food and drink scene, the hotel provides a perfect base from which to explore the city. House Double Book

Our compact "House Double" bedrooms have a UK standard double bed (4'6/135 cm wide) and an ensuite bathroom with either shower or bath with shower over.

In every room you will find a 26" flatscreen TV with freeview, free WiFi, tea and coffee, hairdryer and a desk. Rooms either have a view of the beautiful, ancient St Denys Church across the road or the cityscape.

Check in is from 3pm on the day of arrival. Check out is up until 11am on the day of departure. This rate includes free full cooked breakfast.

Deluxe King Book

In addition to what you will find in the "House" rooms, the Deluxe King rooms offer that little bit more: a huge, comfortable, pocket sprung "superking" size bed (6'/183 cm wide) or a king size four poster (5'/150 cm wide), two comfy chairs to relax in, a whopping 42" flatscreen TV with freeview, as well as an individual design scheme. The en suite bathrooms have either baths with large shower over or a walk in shower. Some have views of the beautiful, ancient St Denys Church and others offer glimpses of hidden cityscapes.

The Grand Book

On a grander scale, the biggest bedroom on the ground floor is spacious and decorated in luxurious style with high ceilings, working original shutters and a bespoke UK king size (150 cm/5') four poster bed. Complete with an enormous free standing bath and separate en suite shower room.

Amenities include a huge flat screen TV with freeview, free WiFi, luxury organic toiletries, tea and coffee, hairdryer, comfy arm chairs, chest of drawers, wardrobe and a desk.

Terms & Conditions

Please read these conditions thoroughly as they form part of your contract with us and please do get in touch as soon as possible if you have any questions at all and we will be very happy to help.

Check in is from 3 pm and Check out is up to 11 am - we will be happy to look after your bags outside these times.

Groups - Please note we are not suitable for groups of more than three rooms/six people (even if booked individually/under different names). If it becomes apparent that you are part of a larger group, we are sorry but you will not be able to stay. Please note you will still be charged if we are within the chargeable period for your booking. Please get in touch immediately if you think this will affect your booking and we can suggest alternatives.

Babies and children - Unfortunately we are not suitable for babies and children under the age of eight and the maximum occupancy of all our rooms is two people. We're sorry but there is no facility for extra beds/bedding to be placed in the rooms and unfortunately we do not have any family or interconnecting rooms. Again, we are very sorry but if it becomes apparent that you are travelling with a child under eight you will not be able to stay and will still be charged if we are within the chargeable period for your booking. Please get in touch immediately if you think this will affect your booking and we can suggest alternatives.

Car parking - There is no on site car parking available, but there are plenty of nearby parking options within 400m of the hotel, which the team will be happy to advise on. There is an on site drop off/pick up area which we would recommend you use to park up while we get you checked in and then we can direct you to the best parking option for you. 30% discount voucher available for the Barbican Q Park, subject to availability.

Pets - We are not suitable for animals other than assistance dogs.

Eating and drinking - We serve a delicious breakfast cooked to order. We do not currently have a restaurant, bar or licence but there are many lovely places to eat and drink very nearby, or you are very welcome to bring your own.

Accessibility - There are four steps to access the building and we’re afraid we do not have a lift/elevator but we are very happy to help with bags. All bedrooms apart from 'the Grand' are on the first floor, up a flight of 20 steps with a handrail to one side. Please ask for further details if you have any particular needs.

CCTV – We use CCTV in public areas to allow us to provide efficient service, train our staff and for everyone’s safety and security.

Comfort - We do not have air conditioning but every room is equipped with a desk fan and we are happy to offer a range of bedding options on request. While we are in a relatively quiet area of the city centre, the majority of our windows are the original single-paned Victorian glass and we cannot guarantee it will be quiet – please ask if you are concerned about noise and we will be happy to discuss the options.

Damage – You will be charged for any damage caused by you to any Parisi property or for any additional cleaning required as a result of your actions during your stay.

Behaviour – While we welcome many guests celebrating special occasions, we are not suitable for guests intending to celebrate noisily at the hotel late into the night. If you are causing disruption to other guests, behaving disrespectfully to our staff or contravening the terms and conditions of this contract we reserve the right to cancel your booking at any time. Please note you will still be charged if we are within the chargeable period for your booking.

Payment Policy

We require valid credit or debit card details to guarantee bookings and in case of cancellation. We may take payment from these details once the booking becomes non-refundable.

Cancellation Policy

As a small independent hotel, we unfortunately find it difficult to resell rooms at the last minute and so have to stick firmly to our cancellation policy, without exception.

Non-refundable bookings must be paid in full at time of booking and may not be changed or cancelled.

For standard bookings cancellation within two days of the date of stay the whole stay will be chargeable, e.g. if you are staying on a Sunday you would need to cancel before midnight on Thursday to avoid the cancellation charges. Please note, this is not the same as 48 hours before you are due to arrive.

Cancellation before this is free of charge.

Cancellations must be made by speaking to someone over the phone or by email. You will receive an email confirmation that your booking has been cancelled.

We strongly advise you to take out insurance in case of cancellation as should something come up at the last minute which means you are unable to travel we will not be able to waive the charge and rooms will not be transferable to a different date.
