Terms & Conditions

Reservation and Cancellation Policies:

Packages: All guest stays are all-inclusive based on either a prearranged package or a custom package.

Children 6-years and over are welcome to accompany their families at a 50% reduced rate. Youth 12-years and older are at full rate. All ages are welcome when you reserve exclusive use of our entire facility. We respectfully request dedicated adult supervision.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements - To ensure the health and safety of all guests and staff at our boutique lodge, we will require proof of full COVID-19 vaccination for all guests and staff, excluding children that are not yet eligible to receive the vaccine. Stillpoint Lodge will accept vaccinations approved by WHO organization. Proof of vaccination will be required

No Smoking: Stillpoint Lodge is a smoke-free facility. Smokers are asked to please plan ahead and smoke only in designated areas and discretely dispose of all waste in a designated receptacle. Smoke odor or residue found inside any facility because of smoking inside or disposing of ashes or butts inside, will result in the assessment of a minimum $500 cleaning fee.

Pets: Stillpoint is not able to accommodate pets at this time. Service animals are welcome- please advise.

Itinerary: A detailed pre-trip letter regarding transportation and packing is provided for all guests upon making a reservation. After you arrive, you will meet with our guides to finalize your customized adventure itinerary. Trips are not guaranteed to be private (unless confirmed in advance) and all activities are subject to change and based on availability. We have some of the largest tidal swings in the world... subsequently our boat arrival and departure times are occasionally affected by the level of tide.

In the unfortunate event that an included outbound excursions like bear viewing, ocean fishing, wildlife cruise, or glacier hiking and kayaking is canceled due to weather or mechanical issues, we will do everything we can to rebook your excursion or offer an alternate choice. If this is not possible, the included excursion is non-refundable as part of the all-inclusive package pricing

Wildlife: Although we have a considerably higher number of good-weather days than much of Alaska, some of our activities, excursions & additional services that are dependent on weather, tides and the wildlife in the area cannot be guaranteed. While you are guaranteed to see wildlife, there is no guarantee on the type or abundance.

Trip insurance: Because of our short season, and the unlikelihood of filling an empty cabin at the last minute, we cannot offer refunds on deposits or full payment for any reason. We strongly recommend that you purchase trip insurance.

Force Majeure: It is expressly agreed that Stillpoint Lodge shall be relieved of its obligations to provide service in the event the performance of the agreement is delayed or prevented by any cause reasonably beyond its control, including without limitation, acts of God, acts or orders by governmental authorities, fire, flood, storm, explosion, necessary and essential repairs/renovations/construction, seizure under legal proceeding, strike, lockout or work stoppage or other restraint of labor occurrence or conditions.

Please be aware:
Of the inherent risk in the steep ramps, boats, docks, boardwalks and terrain of Halibut Cove.

There is no television, telephone nor refrigerator provided in guest cabins. Please notify us in advance so that we may accommodate your needs by special request.

Our Wi-Fi is usually great... but cellular reception is spotty. The end of the dock is often the best location for signal and privacy.

There is no ATM or store in Halibut Cove to buy snacks, souvenirs or medications.

Each of our cabins has a beautifully appointed private restroom. For the majority of our cabins, guests must take a few steps outside their bedroom, under a covered porch, to get to their restroom. Robes and slippers are provided, and restrooms are equipped with heaters, on-demand hot water, high pressure showers and local Alaskan luxury toiletries by our friends at Alpenglow Skincare. Many guests comment that they are pleasantly surprised at the special quiet moments they spent in reflection with nature headed back from the restroom.

Regretfully, there is no handicap access as this time. Our staff uses golf carts to haul luggage. Guests are permitted to ride in carts when physical conditions limit mobility. Please notify us in advance so that we may accommodate your needs by special request.

We are surrounded by wilderness and wildlife interactions are possible, including black bears. Our staff will notify you of recent wildlife sightings and best practices to avoid complications. It is Stillpoint policy for guests to never hike or kayak alone.

Payment Policy

50% of the balance is due within 10 days of booking, with remaining balance due 90-days prior to arrival. If booking is made within 90-days of arrival, full payment is due immediately on confirmation.

Cancellation Policy

Once the 50% deposit is received, dates can be canceled, transferred, or rescheduled for later during the same season or applied as travel credit in the following season (subject to updated rates, terms & conditions), based on availability and the following schedule:

IF CANCELED 120 DAYS OR MORE PRIOR TO ARRIVAL: 80% of the deposited amount will be refunded, and the remaining 20% of the deposited amount is nonrefundable and can be applied toward rescheduled dates or transferred to another party. Administrative fee for changes is $200/per person.

IF CANCELED BETWEEN 91-119 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL: The full 50% deposit is nonrefundable. 80% of the deposited amount will be forfeited and 20% of the deposited amount can be applied toward rescheduled dates or transferred to another party.

IF CANCELED 90 DAYS OR LESS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL: 100% non-refundable payment of the full reservation cost is contractually owed at 90 days prior to arrival. Dates cannot be rescheduled and no shows and cancellations for any reason will result in forfeiture of the full reservation cost.

In all above situations, you will have 12 months to reschedule a reservation to a date mutually agreed upon by all parties.
