Property Information
Teller House
In 1896, local brewery owner Charles Fischer built the Teller House to provide rooms for Silverton's turn of the century visitors. Since then, the Teller House has continued to serve guests with an experience reminiscent of Mr. Fischer's original vision.
In 1997, the Teller House became a partnership between Frances Brooks and Tiffany & Kevin deKay. Under their ownership, the hotel has been fully restored to its original Victorian charm, retaining original woodwork and high ceilings, 19th century antique furnishings and era specific décor.

Terms & Conditions
NO SMOKING: The Teller House is a non-smoking hotel. In the event a guest smokes, in the hotel or room, we charge a $250.00 cleaning fee.The guest will be asked to leave immediately without refund. Smoking violators could be held responsible for other guests room fee/ refunds.
NO PETS: Sorry, we are unable to accommodate our furry friends. Guests that violate our 'No Pet' policy will be charged a $250 cleaning fee and asked to leave immediately.
CHECK-IN: Check-in is at 2:00pm-8:00pm. We have a self check-in process. Instructions can be found on the front desk. Please contact us prior to arrival if you need an earlier or later check-in. Guests that have not checked-in by 8:00pm of the arrival date forfeit their reservation, without refund, unless prior contact with management has been made.
CHECK-OUT: Check-out is by 10:30 am. Check-out violators will be charged a fee of $30/hour until 2:00pm. After 2:00pm, 100% of the room rate will be charged.
NO-SHOWS: Guests will be held responsible for their rooms. 100% of room will be charged.
EXTRA PERSONS:Children 6 and under stay for FREE...we are a "family friendly" place to stay! The default occupancy for single bed rooms is 2. The default occupancy for double bed rooms is 4. Any reservation that exceeds the default occupancy will be charged 15$ per person.
NO ELEVATOR: The Teller House Hotel is a historical property that does NOT have an elevator, and is located on the second floor.
QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours at the hotel are from 10:00 pm - 8:00 am. We will issue one courtesy reminder to noise violators, after that we will ask them to leave. Violators will not receive a refund.
LOST KEYS: Keys are required to be returned at check-out. Lost keys or keys not returned at check-out will be charged a 25$ replacement fee.
NO AIR CONDITIONING:The Teller House Hotel is a historical property that does NOT have air conditioning. Each room has large windows that can be opened and, at least, a desk fan. This is adequate for most guests and conditions. Extra fans are available upon request.
ELEVATION:The town of Silverton is 9300 ft above sea level. We do not provide refunds for altitude sickness.
Payment Policy
Reservations will be automatically charged 7 days prior to arrival and are non-refundable. Bookings within 7 days of arrival will be charged immediately and are non-refundable.
GROUP BOOKINGS (4 or more rooms booked for same group) have a different policy. Pre-payment is required for group bookings. Please call or email if group reservation is needed.
Cancellation Policy
If cancellation occurs 7 days or less prior to arrival, no refund will be given for the entire stay.
EXCEPTIONS:
HOLIDAY PERIOD reservations (Christmas-New Year's holiday; 4th of July Weekend; Thanksgiving Weekend) will be fully charged and non-refundable 14 days prior to arrival. Holiday period bookings within 14 days of arrival will be charged immediately and are non-refundable.
ROAD CLOSURE: Guests can receive a refund due to road closure if, and only if, both passes entering Silverton, CO are closed the day of arrival. Please plan your travel using cotrip.org for road notifications.
COVID: In the event of a positive COVID test within the 7-day cancellation period, credits only (no refunds) will be issued for the amount$ of your stay ONLY if valid ID and a positive test result showing the date, your name and the testing provider’s name, or a doctor’s note is provided to the hotel PRIOR to your check-in date.
