Terms & Conditions
The terms and conditions set out below apply to all bookings made through this website for the Cow Hollow Hotel. Hotels Manchester Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (No 08603137) whose registered office is in Manchester, UK (“we” or “our”). Our VAT registration number is 167612790.
The Cow Hollow Hotel kindly requires full payment upon booking to secure your room. Should you wish to cancel, you can receive a full refund if you cancel prior to 14 days before your check-in date. After this the full rate will be charged. This includes any extra items you might have added onto your room.
After check-in, the remaining part of all guest reservations are non-transferable and non-refundable. Where an amendment is not made in accordance with our amendment terms, the payment taken as your deposit is forfeited and is not refundable.
**COVID - as of 1st October 2020**
Our standard 14-day cancellation policy applies. For any further government-mandated closures of hotels in Manchester we will offer credit vouchers for guests who have stays commencing within 14-days of the announcement. For stays commencing beyond the 14-day period, a full refund will be offered, as per our regular cancellation policy. For any travel restrictions applied from guest ‘home’ localities, into the UK, or due to personal / health reasons, our standard 14-day cancellation policy applies. We are unable to make exceptions.
CREDIT CARD AUTHORISATION
A debit or credit card pre-authorisation is required for every reservation and will be requested at reception on check in (cash deposits are NOT accepted). No money is taken from your credit card but it will show as a 'Pending Transaction'. The date the pre-authorisation gets released varies, depending on your individual credit/debit card. Upon your check out any room charges, damages or extras will be charged to your card, this will appear on your credit card statement within 3 working days. However if you choose to pay the balance with another credit card or method of payment we will cancel the pre-authorisation and this could take up to 10 working days to clear in your account.
We may retain your credit or debit card details temporarily after your stay has ended and you consent to us debiting such amounts for which you are responsible as a result of any damage caused to your Cow Hollow room by you during your stay, or anything missing once you have left (except the earplugs and slippers - they are yours to keep!). These amounts may be debited from your card without prior notification. So please try not to headbutt the plasma TV or smear lipstick all over the walls.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
We DON’T like strict hotel checking-in and checking-out policies. You are here to enjoy yourself, not feel like you are visiting HMP Strangeways.
We do our utmost to make sure hotel rooms are all available from 3pm on the day of arrival, but if you arrive early and there is a suitable, fresh, clean room available, you’ll be the first to know. Rooms should be vacated by around 11-ish on the day of departure, unless otherwise sanctioned at the discretion of the hotel receptionist. We are aware that, on occasion, emergency conference calls, vicious hangovers, and unnecessarily-long showers can make it crucial to stay in the room for a little longer than expected, so asking our staff for an extra few hours might just work!
We cannot promise you a specific room, but we will do our utmost to accommodate your requests if there are any. Your room will be held for your arrival until 11.00am the morning following the first night of your reservation. In the event of a non-arrival, we reserve the right to resell the room at this point as an empty room isn't doing anyone any good!
After your booking has been confirmed, we will send you an email containing your booking reference number and details. Please bring a copy of this (or save it down on your smartphone) and present this along with the credit / debit card used when checking in. You may be required to sign or enter the PIN code at check in, and we will also pre-authorize your card for incidentals during the stay. If the room has been booked on your card, but for another lucky soul, please do let us know so our receptionists are aware of who the mystery guest is that is due to be arriving.
We are responsible for losses you suffer as a result of Hotels Manchester breaching the Terms & Conditions if the losses are a foreseeable consequence of Hotels Manchester’s breach and no more than three times the fee payable in respect of your stay. Losses are foreseeable where you and/or Hotels Manchester could contemplate them at the time our agreement was formed. Hotels Manchester is not responsible for indirect losses that are not foreseeable by you or Hotels Manchester (such as loss of profits or loss of opportunity).
