Terms & Conditions
Thank you for choosing The Exeter Arms in Easton on the Hill.
By making a booking to stay with us, you are entering a legal contract that is subject to the following terms and conditions:

PRICES
Our prices indicated on our website are per bedroom (maximum double occupancy) and include a cooked breakfast (Apart from The Attic, please read room details) and VAT.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
Arrival: Check-in time on your first day is strictly between 4pm and 10pm unless otherwise pre-arranged. Please note that anything other than this will result in self access via a key box.
 
Departure: Unless varied by prior mutual agreement, on the day of departure, we kindly request that you vacate your bedroom by 10.30am to allow us time to prepare it for our next guests.
 
The balance amount of your booking is payable either on arrival or departure by credit/debit card or cash.

CHILDREN
For the peace and relaxation of our guests we can only accommodate children of 16 and over who can be left in their bedroom without supervision.

This is because we are as much a bar as we are a restaurant and it isn’t fair on children or guests.

WHEELCHAIR USERS
We are very sorry to say that The Exeter Arms is a very old building dating back to 1765 and our rooms are therefore not suitable for wheelchair users.

DOGS AND PETS
Very regrettably, no dogs or pets are allowed at in the rooms at The Exeter Arms.

NON SMOKING
We have a no-smoking policy throughout The Exeter Arms, there are plenty of outside spaces for you to smoke if you wish so. Please make sure there are no cigarette ends dropped. If any guest smokes in any part of the premises, the guest agrees to pay for a professional tobacco and smoke odour removal service.

MAKING A BOOKING
Bookings are normally a minimum stay of one night and maximum of 7 nights unless agreed otherwise.

A reservation must be accompanied by the payment of a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the whole stay at the time of booking to secure your room. All prices given on this website are per room ( maximum double occupancy) and include a cooked breakfast breakfast (Apart from The Attic) and VAT.

Booking must be paid by credit/debit card, so we will need your credit/debit card details at hand, please. Your details will only be used by The Exeter Arms and we will not share them with any third party.
Special Requirements: If you or any member of your party has any special requirements – i.e. dietary – please let us know at the time of making the booking.
CANCELLATION, CURTAILMENT AND POSTPONEMENT
We respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract and that cancellations cause loss to small establishments. Please be aware that these Terms and Conditions overrule any or card scheme rules that your credit/debit card provider may offer or have in place.

Cancellation: A non-refundable 
deposit of 25% of you stay will be debited as confirmation of your booking. If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can attempt to re-let the room. 
We reserve the right to charge the full amount due in the event of a late cancellation within 5 days (before noon) of the day of your arrival where we are unable to re-let the room(s).

Curtailment:  If you have to curtail your booking in advance of, or during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can attempt to re-let the room for the days you cannot stay. If we cannot re-let the room, then you will still be liable for the remaining outstanding balance. If we are able to re-let the room for part of your remaining booking, then you will only be liable for any days that the room is not re-let.

Non-Arrivals: Should you fail to arrive without letting us know, there will be a charge for the full outstanding balance.

Third Party Bookings: If the person paying for the booking is different to the person taking up the occupation, the person who pays for the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, curtailment or non-arrival fees as well as damage or loss, and appropriate charges will be taken from their credit/debit card.

Postponements: If you need to postpone your booking, please give us a much notice as possible so that we can try to re-let your room. We will be happy to transfer your non-refundable deposit to a new booking.

Long-haul Guests: Who wish to arrange arrival and departure times outside the normal arrival and departure times listed above will incur a supplementary charge.

NON-AVAILABILITY OF ACCOMMODATION
We would only cancel your booking if your room was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the booking. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

DURING YOUR STAY
Our aim is to offer all our guests an exciting and enjoyable stay and we kindly ask guests to respect all other guests and diners in the restaurant.

Building: Please respect that The Exeter Arms is a stone building dating back to 1765, we aren’t a modern newly built premises. Therefore the building may not be perfect and there may be the odd crack or slanted ceiling in places, these are quirks and we hope you love them as much as we do.

Housekeeping: We do not carry out housekeeping if the stay is less than 2 days. If you require your room to be cleaned etc, then please let a member of staff know.

Visitors to rooms: Guests are not permitted to have visitors to their rooms without our prior agreement.

Accidents happen: Please let us know immediately of any damage or spillage so that we can attempt a speedy repair or clean. Spillages are more easily rectified the sooner they are dealt with. Any significant breakage or damage may result in a charge for replacement, repair or specialist cleaning. If the damage means the room cannot be made available in good time for the next arriving guests, you may also be liable for our loss of income.

Missing / Lost items: Any item taken from the rooms without our consent will be charged for. Lost keys, or keys not returned, will incur a £50 charge.

Liability: We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.

Restaurant & Bar opening times:
Currently we are open Thursday - Sunday. 122pm - Close
