Terms & Conditions

Check-in and Out:
Check-in time is 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. We do not have a front desk; please make every effort to arrive on time.
Check out time is 11 a.m.

Deposits:
A deposit of 25% of your stay will be charged to your credit card at the time your reservation is made. Deposits can only be made by credit or debit cards. Your balance will be charged to your credit card on file at check out.

Taxes:
Taxes are subject to change.

Breakfast, Food Allergies, Restrictions and Other:
Please be sure to alert your innkeeper if you have any dietary restrictions, are vegan or vegetarian, or have other special requirements such as celiac disease, gluten-intolerance, gluten-free diets, hate green things, don’t eat eggs. A good example would be on medication that precludes grapefruit. We are happy to do it all!

Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted inside any of the buildings or on the grounds. A cleaning fee of $500 will be assessed for any violations in buildings.

Young Adults:
Young adults 10 and older are welcome. Our home is a peaceful retreat for our guests; and contains fragile furnishings. $50 charge for each additional Adult per room.

Pets:
We have 3 cats who are on property, and typically are housed in the owner’s accommodation area. If you plan to bring your pet, you must notify us at the time you make your reservation.

Pet Policy:

-We accept only canines as pet guests and are only allowed in Rojo Room, our designated "Pet Friendly" room.
-There is a $100 refundable pet deposit and will be refunded one week after departure.
-$25.00 pet fee per day.
-Maximum canine occupancy on property is 1.
-We accept canines that are well behaved, not disturb with constant bark and are friendly towards people and cats.
-Dogs must be under 25 pounds.
-We ask that you not leave your dog unattended, even during breakfast. When not with you in the room, dogs must be kenneled.
-You are responsible for your pet's behavior. We have an outdoor grassy area, mutt mitts, poop bags and trash receptacle available for your use. Pets must remain on leashes at all times while on inn property.
-We do not allow your pet to sleep on the bed with you or to sit on the furniture. Feel free to bring your pet's favorite blanket or bed as well.
-We do not allow dogs in the dining and living room.

Legal Notice:
This is our home and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. We are not responsible for accidents or injury, damages to personal property or vehicles, or for the loss of money or valuables of any kind.

Room Damage/Missing Items/Excessive Cleaning:
If rooms are damaged or left extremely dirty during a stay, guests will be charged the amount it costs to replace damaged item + 50/hr. labor fees to return room to its original state. This includes missing/damaged remotes, bedding, towels, windows, TVs, window screens, appliances, fixtures, furniture, doors, lights, mirrors, artwork etc.

We are a small family-run business and have created a space to be enjoyed and respected. As we will do our best to serve you please return the courtesy.

All rates based on double occupancy.

We are NOT handicap-accessible. All rooms are on the second floor and are accessible via stairs.

Payment Policy

Deposits
A deposit of 25% of your stay will be charged to your credit card at the time your reservation is made. Deposits can only be made by credit or debit cards. Your final balance will be charged to your credit card on file at check out.

All rates based on double occupancy. Maximum occupancy in Amarillo, Azul & Rojo rooms is 2, and in Verde room is 4, no exceptions.

Cancellation Policy

When a guest makes a reservation for a stay at The Gillen House Bed and Breakfast we agree to turn away all other requests for the room you select and you agree to pay the rate quoted for the number of days you reserve it. A small bed and breakfast such as ours is significantly affected by cancellations and we appreciate your consideration of our policies.
We adhere to a strict cancellation policy.

Cancellations made prior to the seven (7) day arrival deadline will be refunded their deposit. Cancellations made within seven (7) days of your arrival date will be refunded their deposit minus a $25 non-refundable cancellation fee. Cancellations made four (4) days or less will be charged the full amount of the reservation. This includes “No-shows” and premature check-outs.
Note: A longer cancellation period of fourteen (14) day arrival deadline will be applied to multi-room bookings in place of the 7 day deadline above. Please call 706-740-7323 for information.
