The Kulani Maui
Boutique bungalow accommodations one walking street to the beach / ocean in Lahaina, Maui.
We've tried to incorporate as many natural materials in our bungalows as possible--tropical hardwood floors and carved doors, hand poured concrete counters, fresh foliage, etc. Our high barrel ceilings have louvered windows for natural ventilation, though bedrooms are equipped with A/C units. We've furnished the units with vintage Hawaiiana details, but we've kept things basic and hope you will enjoy a more simple way of living during your stay.
We live on site. We're happy to talk story and share our favorite recommendations with you, or respect your privacy and leave you to enjoy our lush gardens.

Terms & Conditions
The Kulani Maui Policies:
--Two adult guests per one-bedroom bungalow. Up to four adult guests for the two-bedroom bungalow.
--Not suitable for infants or children (under 12 years)
--No pets
--No smoking
--No parties or events
Accessibility:
--Guests must be able to climb 4 stairs to enter and exit bungalows
Check-In Time:
--Starting 3 pm on the day of your arrival
Check-Out Time:
--11 am
Noise & Quiet Hours
--Please maintain quiet hours between 9 pm and 8 am daily.
--Some of our bungalow windows are screen only, without glass window panes. Please be aware that noise is easier to carry through the property than in traditional settings.
Parking & Neighborhood Driving:
--Each guest bedroom is assigned one designated parking spot on site. No street parking is permitted.
--The neighborhood speed is 20 MPH. Please drive very slowly and carefully as you enter and exit The Kulani. There may be children at play in our cul de sac.
--Exit the driveway in a forward fashion, using the turnaround by the espresso bar.
Eco-Friendly Retreat:
--Please turn off A/C and fans when you leave your room.
--Use the marked recycling bins.
--Leave a light footprint on our 'aina (land.)
--Use reef-safe sunscreen at our beaches and consider rash guards and hats for skin protection.
--You may encounter insects during your stay. This is completely natural in the tropics, especially in our airy bungalows. Geckoes also move freely inside and out of the cottages-- they eat the bugs and stick to the walls. Hawaii doesn't have snakes, so don't fret too much!
--Keep lighting low in the evening, as strong light attracts insects.
Obvious to Us, But as a Reminder:
--Guests are expected to leave rooms in the same condition as check in. Guests will be charged for any damages or missing items.
--Please do not move or remove bungalow furnishings without the consent of the owners.
--This is rarely an issue in Lahaina, but we cannot be responsible for inclement weather, road closures or other unplanned events during your stay.
Payment Policy
The Kulani Maui has a 4-night minimum stay. Exceptions may be made based on last-minute availability or direct inquiry.
--A 50% deposit is required to confirm a reservation.
--Full payment is due 30 days prior to arrival.
--Room rates are subject to 10.25% HI transient accommodations tax and 4.167% HI general excise tax.
--Rates are based on availability and are subject to change.
Cancellation Policy
--Within 24 hours of booking a reservation, we will refund 100% of the booking less a $50 administrative fee, so long as the check-in date is at least 14 days away.
--50% refund for cancellations made at least 14 days prior to check-in.
--No refunds for cancellations made within 14 days prior to check-in.
