Property Information
Trailside, a family friendly motel, previously known as the Villa Mar, is revitalized and reopened in June 2015.
We have 10 units available and are open year round. We are centrally located between Newaygo, White Cloud, Fremont, and Croton and Hardy Ponds on the west side of M-37 in Newaygo County. Newaygo County is in the heart of West Michigan and is home to 234 lakes, 356 miles of rivers and streams, and over 100,000 acres of Manistee National Forest.
Trailside is 1/8 mile from the North Country Hiking Trail, 1/4 mile form the Newaygo County Snowmobile Trail, and minutes away from the Newaygo County Visitor Center. We are 5 miles from the White River and a short distance from many inland lakes such as Pickerel, Emerald, Kimball, and Sylvan Lakes, also known as the Chain of Lakes.
Seasonal sports enthusiasts may enjoy swimming, kayaking, tubing down the Muskegon River, riding on ATV trails, fishing, hiking, hunting, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, sledding and much more.

Terms & Conditions
- Check in time is 3pm on the day of your arrival (earlier check-in time may be accommodated if necessary)
______- Check out time is 11am on the day of your departure. A fee of $40.00/hr will be charged to the card on file if you have not vacated your room by 11am.
______- In an effort to keep our rooms free of allergens, all rooms are pet free. A $250.00 cleaning fee will be charged each time the policy is violated.

______- There is a $50.00 fee for each unreturned room key.
Payment Policy
Rooms are reserved with a credit card. Payment is not processed until you check in to your room. When checking in, you may pay with the credit card holding your room, a different credit card or cash. Thank You!
Cancellation Policy
- 24 hour notice is required to cancel a room
- If reservation is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance then you will be charged (one) 1 night's stay for each room reserved.
- If you reserve a room and do not show up, we will charge you one night's rate for each room reserved and further nights will be cancelled.
