Yurt Glamping at its best! Get the outdoor adventure without the discomfort of camping. Yurt includes queen bed, quality bedding, towels & heat. Free WiFi & coffee. Meals available on site. Super clean bathroom-shower building has separate locking rooms for complete privacy. Rent our bicycles to cruise the famous Banks-Vernonia State Trail which runs through property. See our value priced food menu for all meals. Relax by the pond or enjoy playing a game in our straw bale lodge.
The yurt has one queen bed, however, space can handle two additional single hideaway beds if you don't mind it getting a bit cramped in there. The price listed is for two guests. Add $20 per night for guests three and four. $20 fee includes hideabed setup, sheets, pillow, comforter, and towel. Enjoy complimentary Wifi access during your stay.
Super clean bathroom-shower building has separate locking rooms for complete privacy.
We now offer reasonably priced high-quality breakfast, lunch, and dinners prepared in our licensed commercial food cart. Complimentary coffee is available each morning.
While the yurts are cool … the straw bale day lodge is probably unlike anything you have seen before! The 3,500 sq. ft. day lodge is the first permitted straw bale structure in Columbia County history. Relax in the straw bale lodge and play board games (Scrabble, chess etc.) or read a book in one of our comfortable chairs. Connect to our Wifi network at no charge. Access to the lodge is available during the hours of 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
The large log pavilion next to the pond is a place you will want to hang out. Relax in a hanging chair in or in a comfortable chair on the floating dock. We have plenty of tables and chairs for eating meals, playing games etc. We provide the following games: bean bag toss, bocce ball and giant Jenga.
At night if you would like to have a campfire we will light one up in the community fire pit near the yurt. S’mores kits are available for purchase!
If you haven’t ridden the Banks-Vernonia State Trail before … add this to your bucket list! The BV Trail as it is called is truly one of the most amazing “rails to trails” bike trails in the U.S. The trail dissects the Vernonia Springs property, so access is several hundred feet from the main gate. We are now renting awesome comfort cruiser bikes that will make your ride through the rainforest a breeze! A perfect ride is to head north on the trail 6 miles into downtown Vernonia. The total round trip distance is 12-14 miles. If you want more of a challenge, rent one of our hybrid bikes and head south on the trail towards Stub Stewart State Park which is 4 miles up the bike trail and 15 miles to the trailhead at the city of Banks. Stub Stewart State Park has an awesome Frisbee golf course as well as a stellar mountain biking trail complex for all skill levels.
Besides the Banks-Vernonia Trail ... we also have over a mile of nature trails on the property for you to enjoy.
Beaver Creek runs through the property and is home to rainbow trout and spawning salmon in the fall. It is an amazing site to see these large fish in six inches of water!
The City of Vernonia has a good market, gas station, hardware store, several bars, restaurants and golf course. There is also a really well done pioneer museum which is worth visiting.
Cannon Beach and Seaside are less than an hour away by car and worth visiting for sure. Portland is only 45 minutes.
Guests will have exclusive access to their yurt. Guests will be able to access all others spaces on the property during normal business hours.

No pets are allowed on the Vernonia Springs grounds or inside any of the yurts, tents or other buildings. In 2019 we are trying a bit of an experiment for folks that don't mind having their dogs stay in their cars while you visit. Because the Banks-Vernonia State Trail runs through the property, this provides a convenient place to take your dog for a walk while you are here. Keeping your dogs in your car may not work for some people, but it may work very well for others who are here for a short stay and who really like to travel with their dogs. Dogs must be on a leash at all times while on the trail. You must cleanup after your dog.
Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. The lodge is open from 7:00 am to 9:00 am for breakfast and 7:00 am to 8:00 pm for using services.
Check-in is between 3:00 and 8:00 PM. If you need a later check-in please let us know in advance. Check-out is before 11:00 AM.
No smoking is permitted on the property or in any of the buildings, yurts or tents.
You can unload near the pond then park in the designated parking area on the south side of the bike trail next to the handicap parking signs. The turnaround area near the pond is for loading and unloading only and reserved for fire truck access.
Alcohol is permitted, however, unruly behavior will not be tolerated for any reason.
Please place any garbage in the proper waste receptacle and all recycling in the proper recycling bins.
There is no swimming allowed in the pond. There is no lifeguard on duty.
No firearms are permitted.
